Summary: "Kind of Orthopaedic Looking..."

We ordered these shoes online because my boyfriend has unusually wide feet, and can't find wide enough shoes in stores. He is otherwise very fit (as in, not overweight at all), and we were looking for just a regular pair of athletic-type sneakers. We didn't notice online that the sole is all in one piece, and seemed very high on the arch sides of the shoes. Perhaps I misunderstood the descriptions or the purpose of the shoe - I wasn't sure if they were orthopaedic or long-distance running shoes, but either way, they were a bit odd. We didn't feel that the shoes would "pass" as regular sneakers, so we returned them. New Balance makes some other shoes that we later bought that were much more like regular sneakers.

The New Balance 1123 is a great all around shoe. Made in the USA (as are most New Balance shoes...) of very high quality materials. Great support and comfortable for any activity. Worth the money. Very durable and long lasting soles. Shoe airs out very well and holds up to daily exercise routines without smelling like a pile of sweat like some of the cheap Nike products do. Highly recommended for those looking for a quality running shoe.

Summary: "Mens' New Balance MR1123, Running Shoe."

This is a very good New Balance product. I am pleased with this product. I am heavy, well over 200 lbs. and my feet turn inward. The design of this running shoe prevents this turning and provides an excellent "stabilizer" affect when walking. Also, the "support" is excellent from this men's running shoe. I use this for "walking" a lot and it wears very well! Also, I love that it comes in a wide width for me...a 6E! VERY COMFORTABLE! I have also learned to "trust" Amazon......I do not "Trust" many websites out there selling New Balance and other shoes, but Amazon has treatly me honestly and fairly and has lived up to their promises, from Order, to Shipping, to Delivery!
