Summary: "Longest Lasting, Most Comfortable Shoe this decade."
In the early 80's I loved Rockport Dress Sports. One U.S. made pair lasted me from 1984 through 1996. The next pair (Chinese manufacture) lasted me less than a year and did not feel as well either. Likewise with the next. For the next few years I stumbled through other brands looking for something good enough for the office while comfortable enough to walk a couple of miles to the train. Everything was either tossed for discomfort or wore out in less than a year. Now I've finally found a shoe that's comfortable and lasts and is even made in the U.S. This pair of shoes has lasted me from 2006 till now (2010) and while it's wearing out now, it's still comfortable and I'm about to buy another pair.

I work 12 hour hospital shifts. I have tried numerous soft soled shoes which helped. One day, while walking in my New-Balance white walking shoes I had a 'duh' moment. Looked them up on Amazon and bought this black pair.
They are acceptable as work shoes. I bought the ones with Velcro ties to minimize my needing to re-tie my shoes in the ICU with who knows what bugs on the floor.
The result looks fairly old-farty. Who cares? My feet feel great. I will buy them again.
Still, I had to subtract a point for their looks.

Summary: "Shoebuy sends wrong shoes-again!"
Twice I've ordered New Balance shoes from Shoebuy through Amazon. Twice they have sent me Beige with laces when I ordered Bone with Velcro closures. When I called to arrange a return the second time, the operator admitted that they were out of Bone! I notice that this has happened to others.
Obviously Amazon's site is incorrect about the availability of these shoes and Shoebuy has a policy of sending whatever they have, even if it's not what you ordered! I ended up buying them elsewhere. I've had other problems with Shoebuy previously. I've finally learned my lesson and I won't order anything to be fulfilled by Shoebuy in the future!
